Eatery is an American term, generally referring to a restaurant or canteen. To be honest, it is a bit surprising to see it appear in an elegant high-end restaurant like Emporium. The neighborhood where the restaurant is located is quite beautiful. The restaurant itself is also part of the ART DECO MASONIC HOTEL. The decoration is very unique. The long marble bar is exquisite and cool, and various classical collections are cleverly displayed in different parts. Therefore, modern and classic have the most wonderful collision and fusion here, allowing people to enjoy a good meal in the subtle atmosphere of time precipitation. The menu is a bit interesting. I have seen some newspaper-style printing in China, but it is the first time in New Zealand. The entire page on the back is about the long history of ART DECO MASONIC HOTEL. It was destroyed by fire twice after opening in 1861. The current building has been in use since 1932. Even from today's perspective, it is fashionable and gorgeous. The restaurant's name is unique, and the menu is also uniquely classified. "Bites or snacks" in other restaurants are "nibbles" here, "starter" is "small plates", and "main" is "large plates". We ordered "Fresh bay fish", "Roasted chicken & spanish chorizo ​​pizza" and "Kids macaroni with cheese", which is a safer way to order food that takes both adults and children into consideration. It's a tearful thing to say. The fish was fried to the right temperature, so the texture and delicacy of Hawke's Bay kingfish were completely preserved until the entrance. Carefully cut the fish and dip it in a little special golden corn polenta, which is a rare unique and refreshing way to eat here. The shrimp butter dumplings on the fish are the finishing touch, which needs to be tasted like Jingjiang soup dumplings, because there is actually a packet of soup inside, and the mashed potato cake and four cherry tomatoes cut in half are both independent and rich in visual effects. The wood oven pizza here is probably the best pizza we had on this trip to New Zealand. The wood oven, crispy and chewy pizza, rich fillings, authentic Spanish sausage, etc., satisfied all our imaginations about pizza.
